The CAO is expected to give more details later on the number of wrongly downgraded Leaving Cert students who are entitled to a higher preference college course offer.
A review into errors with the calculated grades system meant 6,100 pupils got lower marks than they should have.
The improved grades for those students have been given to the CAO, but the Education Minister says it could be a week before any new college offers are made to the affected students.
