A Wicklow TD has called on the government to release funds to improve toilet facilities at the library in Bray.
A limited fund is currently available from their annual budget, which is mostly used for roof repairs.
Social Democrats Deputy Jennifer Whitmore says the toilet facilities at Bray library on Florence / Eglington Road are unsuited and are not appropriately situated for anyone, including staff, public users and especially those with additional needs.
There is no baby / toddler changing facility. Consequently, library staff are very reluctant to allow library users access the existing bathroom.
Deputy Whitmore says the issue needs to be addressed to improve the customer experience.
