One of Bray’s most popular annual arts festival is set to return on the May Bank Holiday weekend.Bray Jazz Festival will take place for its 21st time on April 29, 30 and May 1 next, with the main shows being staged once more taking place at Mermaid Arts Centre over the holiday weekend.Festival organisers decided to take a year out in 2020 following the 20th anniversary of Bray Jazz. The Covid-19 pandemic also delayed the return of the popular event.Established in 2020, Bray Jazz Festival has hosted some of the biggest names in contemporary world jazz. The 2019 event featured Grammy Award winning American guitarist John Scofield, American piano veteran Marc Copland, as well as bands from Sweden, Senegal, France, Holland, the UK, Switzerland and Germany.
