The trial is due to begin today of a 34-year-old man who is facing three charges including the murder of 50 year old Bobby Messett at Bray boxing club 3 years ago..
Gerard Cervi from the East Wall area in Dublin 3, is charged with murdering Mr Messett at the Boxing Club on 5 June, 2018. He has also been charged with the attempted murder of boxing trainer Pete Taylor and Ian Britton. The accused has pleaded not guilty to all three charges. The trial at the central criminal court is expected to last eight weeks.
