Following the news earlier this week that the owner of Luggala estates plans to carry out a Peat-land restoration project on 1,300 hectares of the estate, plans will be unveiled today for a blanket bog restoration project in the Wicklow Mountains National Park.
The Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform Malcolm Noonan will be joined by the General manager of Intel Ireland, Eamonn Sinnott, , to unveil details of the public-private collaboration which will be one of the first of its kind in Ireland. The announcement due at half past nine this morning on the Old Military Road at the Sally Gap, is taking place during National Biodiversity Week.
