Yesterday’s strong winds, which forced the closure of the East pier in Dun Laoghaire to the public, also brought misery for several boat owners in Bray Harbour.
Reports say up to eight boats were damaged, some submerged in the rough seas that hit the coastline yesterday afternoon.
Boat owners are being urged to take time today before the weather turns to ensure their vessels are secure.
