Concerns are being raised amid unconfirmed reports that Birdwatch Ireland intends to cease all management and maintenance of their nature reserves, including the reserve at Newcastle here in County Wicklow.
It’s feared the move will have damaging consequences for birds and other wildlife. The reserves need to be maintained or they can become dilapidated
The organisation’s AGM which was due to take place in Dublin has been moved online for this coming Saturday at 2 o’clock.
