Beastie Boy Mike D To Headline Wicklow's Beyond the Pale In First Irish Date In Eight Years

A treat for fans of an '80's Hip Hop Icon who's Wicklow bound in June !

Beastie Boy Mike D is coming to Wicklow!

The veteran hip-hop star has announced his first ever European solo shows, set to kick off later this summer.

He announced live solo shows in the US which included a gig at the Plaza Nightclub & Dance Hall in Los Angeles where he debuted new solo material before he released a surprise debut solo single called Switch Up.

Mike Diamond has announced his first ever European headline shows as a solo artist, which will see him play at intimate, unconventional venues such as the beautiful Glendalough site locally for BTP 2026. 

As part of the Beastie Boys, Mike D headlined Electric Picnic in 2007. He later performed a DJ set at Forbidden Fruit in 2018.

Dates commence this summer with shows in London in early June before  he takes in shows in Berlin, Barcelona, Kortrijk, Sint-Niklaas 

He will also be playing at a number of festivals in June,  and not just Beyond The Pale in Wicklow but also including Primavera Sound in Porto and Beyond The Streets in Paris.

The new music from Mike D marks the first new music from any Beastie Boy since their 2011 album Hot Sauce Committee Part Two.

Mike D hasn’t hit the road as a Beastie Boy since bandmate Adam “MCA” Yauch died in 2012.

The last release from the hip-hop pioneers came when they dropped a deluxe reissue of 2004's popular release To The Five Boroughs, earlier this year.
