Legendary broadcaster Charlie Bird has raised over €3.3 million through his Climb with Charlie campaign.
He was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease last year, and announced he planned to climb Croagh Patrick with family and friends in April of this year.
Thousands of people joined him on the day on Croagh Patrick and on almost 200 other climbs in Ireland and around the world, to raise money for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta House.
Charlie handed over cheques to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta earlier today, and says he is truly humbled.
