A grant of just under €14,500 has been secured by Arklow Municipal District from the Department of Children, under the Capital Grant Scheme for the refurbishment of the playground at Seaview Avenue in Arklow.
The scheme is used to fund new play and recreation facilities and or the refurbishment of existing play and recreation facilities.
Cathaorleach Sylvester Bourke says this will help ensure the playground is maintained to a modern standard and provide children with a facility to help them keep active.
