Anti-social Behaviour In Bray Raised With Justice Minister

Concerns over anti-social behaviour in Bray have been raised with the Minister for Justice.

Wicklow TD Edward Timmins says he has contacted Minister Jim O'Callaghan after residents in the Boghall Road area reported ongoing problems.

Deputy Timmins says the Justice Minister has assured him the Government remains committed to building stronger and safer communities in Co.Wicklow.

The Fine Gael TD says Garda recruitment continues to gather pace.  The Garda workforce has increased from just under 16-thousand members in 2016 to more than 18-thousand-200 this year.

Latest figures, as of May, indicate the Wexford/Wicklow Division had 593 Garda members. That included 111 serving the Bray community, supported by 14 civilian Garda staff.

Deputy Timmins is welcoming the deployment of three additional Gardaí to Bray in recent months.
