It comes after graffiti opposing the Irish Sea border was painted in some loyalist areas of Northern Ireland in recent days.
Mid and East Antrim Council withdrew staff from Brexit inspection duties at Larne Port earlier this week following an "upsurge in sinister and menacing behaviour".
