Hopes are high that Irish language film An Cailín Ciúin, based on the book Foster by Wicklow writer Claire Keegan, will secure an Oscar nomination.

All 15 will be viewed by members of the Academy, who will vote for their favourites to be put forward for nomination.
The five nominated films are due to be announced before the end of January.
