It’s part of the company’s plans to recruit 550 new staff this year for its 140 stores nationwide.
Aldi has also announced that it is increasing its minimum wage rate to match the recommended Living Wage of €12.30 per hour.
It will be the first retailer to implement the new Living Wage, reaffirming its position as Ireland’s highest paying supermarket.
The company is currently in the process of constructing a new store in Rathnew which is expected to open later this year.
