A deal has been reached to purchase a site for Greystones Community College. The 11.5 acre site is close to the Shoreline leisure centre in Charlesland.
Under the deal developers Cairn will design the new school building and apply for planning permission, which they expect will completed by the end of the year. Work could get underway early next year, with the school opening in September 2023.
Welcoming the news, the Health minister Stephen Donnelly says when completed, the college will have the capacity to accommodate up to 1,000 students.
