11 Wicklow Schools Added To DEIS Programme.

The Department of Education has added 11 schools in Wicklow to their DEIS programme

The Department of Education has added 11 schools in Wicklow to their DEIS programme.

The schools being added to the programme in Wicklow are:

DEIS Rural Schools

·All Saints National School, Carnew

·SN Muire, Baltinglass

·Carnew NS, Arklow 

DEIS Urban Band 2

·Padraig Naofa NS, St Patrick’s Road

·Clochar Mhuire NS

·Rathdrum Boys NS

·St John’s Senior School, Arklow

·St Michael’s and St Peter’s Junior School, Arklow

DEIS Post-primary 

·Woodbrook College

·Wicklow Educate Together Secondary School

·Colaiste Chill Mhantain

One school in Wicklow has been reclassified from DEIS Rural to DEIS Urban Band 1. That is St Coen’s National School, Rathnew.

Education Minister Norma Foley says no school currently part of the programme will lose their status.
