  Job description:

  CNC Operative

  Location: Bray, County Wicklow
  Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
  Salary: €35,000 per annum
  Hours: 38.45 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:15pm
  Start Date: Immediate

  About the Role

  An established international company is seeking a CNC Operative to join its team in Bray, County Wicklow.

  The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in CNC machining, including programming, setting up and operating CNC milling and lathe machines. The role involves working as part of a team to produce high-quality components while maintaining strong quality and production standards.

  Shift work and overtime may be required depending on business requirements.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Write CNC programmes based on 2D technical drawings.
  • Set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines.
  • Programme and operate machines using G-code.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, operation sheets and work instructions.
  • Set up and run a variety of machining jobs.
  • Meet production targets while maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Carry out quality checks on finished components.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation.
  • Carry out deburring and inspection of finished products.
  • Use measuring equipment including ring gauges, plug gauges, micrometers and Vernier callipers.
  • Operate manual tool grinders where required.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the work area.
  • Be flexible and adaptable between different machines and tasks.
  • Liaise with supervisors and colleagues regarding work instructions and quality standards.
  • Provide support to the Machining Supervisor as required.

  Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in CNC machining.
  • Experience programming CNC milling and lathe machines.
  • Ability to read and write CNC programmes from technical drawings.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC lathe and milling machines.
  • Good knowledge of G-code.
  • Experience with Fanuc controls would be an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Good understanding of quality control and measurement procedures.
  • Fluent English is required.
  • Willingness to work different shift patterns and overtime when required.
  • CNC machining experience must be clearly demonstrated on your CV.

  Salary & Benefits
