A new community initiative aimed at supporting people living with dementia and memory challenges has officially launched in Wicklow Town.
The Wicklow Town Memory Café held its first gathering at the Pastoral Centre, bringing together individuals, families and carers for an afternoon centred around connection, conversation and support.
The initiative is open to anyone affected by dementia or memory issues, and aims to create a consistent, supportive environment within the community.
Those involved say it’s about more than just a social gathering - it’s about building understanding, reducing stigma, and ensuring people feel seen, supported and connected.
