Anne Savage, who recently retired as principal of Scoil Chaoimhín Naofa, in Glendalough, was nominated through a combined effort, featuring video testimonials from current and former students, a student parent, her nephew and former colleagues.
Twenty teachers – five from each province – have been shortlisted from over 400 entries received from across the country. None of the teachers were aware they had been nominated.
A gala event will take place at The Helix, in DCU, on Friday, 4th October, at which four of the shortlisted teachers – one from each province – will receive their Awards.
