Wicklow Minister Hasn't Ruled Out Permanently Slashing College Fees For Students

Simon Harris says he also doesn't see why the €500 grant for families earning under 100-thousand euro can't be extended or raised in the future.

In the latest budget, all students will get a 1,000 reduction in their contribution fee, while those whose families earn under €100,000 will see a further €500 cut.

At least 70,000 students, including close to 2,000 in Wicklow are in line to benefit from student maintenance grant increases following Budget 2024 announcements this week.
