Wicklow Goes Lottery Gaga Following A Third Big Money Win This Week

Another day of National Lottery celebrations in Wicklow as €1 million winning store announced

A Daily Million player in Wicklow has become Ireland’s newest millionaire this week after scooping the top prize of €1 million in Tuesday’s draw, marking a sensational three lottery wins in the Garden County in a week.

The National Lottery has revealed that the winning ticket was purchased at Earl’s on Abbey Street in Wicklow. 

Monday night’s EuroDreams draw saw two Wicklow players win both the Tier one and Tier two prizes.

An online player became the first EuroDreams top prize winner in Ireland after securing themselves a life-changing €20,000 per month for 30 years.

Meanwhile, the tier two prize was also won after another Wicklow player scooped €2,000 per month for five years after purchasing their winning ticket at SuperValu in the Castle Street Shopping Centre in Bray. 

Store owner Paul Vambeck, who has owned the Wicklow Town shop for 25 years, was thrilled to hear that his store sold the life-changing ticket. 

“Our customers have had a few big wins over the years, but this is the biggest so far which has really brought a lot of excitement to the shop. The team here in-store were delighted when we got the call from the National Lottery, and the customers are getting in on the celebrations now too. We have been telling everyone to check their tickets. A massive congratulations to the winner and we hope they are enjoying the win.”

The National Lottery has confirmed that the winner has made contact, and arrangements are now being made for them to visit the Winners Room in Lottery HQ to claim their top prize amount.

The top prize winner earned themselves the title of 6th Daily Million top prize winner of the year-to-date following wins by players in Donegal, Cork, Wicklow, Kildare and Laois.
