Despite the ongoing level five restrictions, Gardai will begin their seasonal operation in Wicklow today, to prevent the theft of Christmas trees from grower’s farms.
Operation Hurdle, a successful initiative which involves nightly air patrols, high-visibility checkpoints and armed support units, will run up until December 20th here in the garden county.
