Lacken Kilbride GAA Club has received full planning permission from Wicklow County Council to develop a new clubhouse in the area.
The plans include a coffee shop, new benches and increased car parking capacity.
Works on levelling the site are due to start next week with further phases of the project to go ahead when funding becomes available.
Speaking to East Coast FM’s Morning Show, Chairperson Diarmuid Hucking says once complete, they hope the whole community will be able to use the hub.
