Wicklow County Council has distributed just under 80,000 euro to 50 groups who are supporting their communities across the county during the COVID-19 emergency.
Local authorities nationwide have received a grant from the Department of rural and Community Development to assist community and voluntary groups involved in the delivery of COVID -19 community response efforts.
Among those sharing the grant in Wicklow include nine groups providing meals to those in need, nine groups supplying face masks for frontline staff and five groups offering technology support.
