€60,000 in government funding has been allotted to two community facilities in Wicklow.
The allocation will go towards the upgrade of car parks at Asknagap and Knockananna Community Halls.
The funding is provided by the Department of Rural and Community Development, through their CLÁR programme, which targets small scale projects in designated rural areas that have experienced significant levels of population decline.
Almost €3 million will be provided to projects in 84 communities nationwide to improve safety infrastructure.
