Status Orange Alert: Wind, Flooding and Hazardous Travelling Conditions Expected in Wicklow

Wicklow is one of three counties under a status orange rain warning from Friday afternoon until Saturday mid-morning.

The Met Eireann advisory for Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford is valid as follows:

Significant rainfall accumulations, especially on high ground and exposed areas.

With the following impacts: 

• Significant flooding
• Hazardous travelling condition

A yellow wind alert comes into play beforehand for 13 counties at varying times from Saturday morning to Sunday. It's valid for Wicklow and Wexford, Carlow, Kilkenny and Kildare along with Dublin, Louth and Meath as follows:
