Sinn Fein Seeks Traffic Survey To Ensure Bray Fire Crew Can Answer Call Outs

The Sinn Féin party in Bray is calling for a traffic impact survey to be carried out in the town, amid major concerns that fire-fighters will struggle to respond to emergency call outs.

 An independent report on the future of the service has yet to be completed, despite a significant population surge in recent years.

Wicklow TD John Brady says the traffic survey would help establish the risks posed to the firefighters trying to get to the station once alerted of an emergency.

While Councillor Dermot ‘Daisy’ O’Brien says in the short term, there might be merit in exploring a number of full time positions on the roster that will ensure the service isn't compromised during peak traffic times.
