"It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, but it’s important to remember you are not alone"
Thousands of students around the country are receiving college offers today through the CAO portal today.
1,924 students sat their Leaving Cert papers in Co. Wicklow in June.
A further 113 students took the applied Leaving Cert in the county.
CAO Round 1 offers are being released today. Applicants may have secured their first-choice or be offered a lower preference, with the chance of moving up in later rounds.
South East Technological University (SETU) is ready to support students in the coming days and weeks with its 'Chat to SETU' service. That's running until September 12th - offering guidance and answering queries from students during this important time.
Jess Lawton, Deputy Manager in School, CAO and Career guidance engagement at SETU says
“Receiving your Leaving Certificate results is an exciting milestone in every student’s journey. The days between the Leaving Certificate results and Round 1 CAO offers can be stressful, especially if students don’t receive their first-choice offer. It’s natural to feel overwhelmed, but it’s important to remember you are not alone.”
Students with questions about CAO offers can reach out to SETU’s experienced support team online or by phone:
Call (051) 306228 or (059) 9175088 from 9am to 5pm.
The SETU team will also connect with students via Instagram, hosting Q&A sessions on Instagram stories from 2pm Wednesday 27th to 9pm Thursday 28th of August.
Students can ask questions about course offers, accommodation, student life, and more.
