Uisce Éireann has announced road closures to progress the Old Connaught Woodbrook Water Supply Scheme in Bray, which involves the construction of two new reservoirs and the installation of approximately 13km of new watermain.
A section of Thornhill Road, Old Connaught, will be closed between the entrance of St Gerard’s school and the Old Fassaroe Roundabout from Monday January 8, to Friday January 12, to finalise works on the new watermain that was installed between July and October 2023.Once these works are complete on Thornhill Road, they will be followed by a lane closure on the R918 Fassaroe to facilitate the final phase of pipelaying works in that area. These works will begin on Monday, January 15. This lane closure is expected to be in place until mid-February 2024.All Traffic Management measures have been agreed in consultation with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Wicklow County Council. Local and Emergency access will be maintained.
