Public Consultation Opens On Future Use Of Great Sugarloaf In Wicklow Mountains

A public consultation has opened on future plans for the Great Sugarloaf in the Wicklow Mountains.

Wicklow County Council proposes to carry out the Sugarloaf repair project which will include the following works:

• Re-fencing of carpark, marking parking spaces, upgrade archway, drainage, steel gate and signage.
• A family-friendly area, with new trail construction and planting of native species.
• Ground works and manual stone pitching of an ascent and descent route.
• Habitat restoration to encourage growth of native species.
