A public consultation begins today on Irish Rail's plan to protect it's rail line from Dublin to Wicklow from the effects of climate change.
A number of projects have been developed in a bid to prevent coastal erosion from Merrion Gates to Wicklow Harbour.
Up to 30 metres of the coastline has been lost in the last 10 years alone as the frequency and intensity of storms increases.
The company wants to hear from those living along the route and who have an interest in the area.
