Wicklow uplands residents are invited to share their views on the health of local rivers
Wicklow uplands residents are invited to share their views on the health of local rivers by attending two open consultation dates with the Water of Life project in the Brockagh Resource Centre in Laragh.
Waters of Life are an EU-funded project trialling water quality measures that work for local communities. The project is gathering local knowledge on the Avonmore sub-catchment and developing an action plan for the area. The sub-catchment includes the Glenmacnass River, Cloghoge Brook, Inchavore River and the Avonmore River as far as Laragh. Water quality solutions identified will be used to feed into future national and EU policy.
The open consultations take place on Wednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 9, with afternoon sessions running from 12.30pm to 2.30pm and evening sessions from 6.30pm to 8.30pm on both days.
