The National Transport Authority today published a revised plan for the L1, L2 and L3 routes which will serve the two towns and include planed loop service.
Kilcoole will see a bus service every 30 minutes with the proposed L2 route.
This will go from Newcastle (hourly) to Bray, with a more streamlined route through Charlesland.
The announcement came alongside proposals for the new L1, L2, L3 routes for Charlesland, Delgany, Greystones, Kilcoole, Killadreenan and Newcastle.
They could be implemented as soon as July 2024.
Wicklow TD Jennifer Whitmore has welcomed the publication of the reviewed Bus Connects plans.
"I am particularly pleased that the revised plan incorporate many of the newer estates in the area which have developed since the plans were first mooted years ago. There has been significant growth in the area since the plans were first published in 2018 and an updated plan was needed."
