The centre may house up to 50 families.

The new Direct Provision centre at Kippure Lodge was raised at the Baltinglass Municipal District meeting last night, and new details arose.

The centre may house up to 50 families.

The location is almost 5 miles from Kilbride village, and 9 miles from Blessington.

It is understood that there has been no contact with the primary schools in Kilbride or Blessington, nor the post primary in Blessington.
