Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin will have a mainstream classroom reconfigured to cater for this new special education classroom.
Speaking today, Taoiseach Simon Harris said:
“Today I am delighted to announce Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin is providing a new special education teaching room for one to one teaching or group work.
“It is so important that all schools in County Wicklow are able to provide for all children and cater for each of their needs.
“We are very fortunate in County Wicklow to have some of the most state-of-the-art schools for primary and second level.
“As a TD for Wicklow I have placed a particular focus on education and on school builds.
“So far since April over a dozen major school building projects have progressed.
“I know from speaking to parents across the County that we have so much more to do for schools, especially in terms of adding new school places to cater for the increase in students across the country.
“As Taoiseach I intend on keeping a particular focus on children and education at the heart of every decision in Government.
“As a TD for Wicklow I will continue to work with schools and principals to represent their needs in Government and provide for extra capacity to meet Wicklow’s growing population.
