New Covid Travel Greenlist Adds Four Countries

Just 4 countries are on the governments latest green list.

From Monday people returning from Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Liechtenstein will not have to restrict their movements.

Germany, Poland, Iceland and Lithuania are being removed.

Liechtenstein is the only country that doesn't have restrictions for travellers arriving from other jurisdictions.

The Department of Foreign Affairs is reminding people that many countries, including some of those on the green list are imposing quarantine, testing or other restrictions on arrivals from abroad.

Aer Lingus says it's concerned at the approach taken by the government and says it doesn't represent a step towards alignment with the European Commission's free movement proposal.

Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary is strongly criticising the government's approach to international travel.
