Gardai in Wicklow are investigating a shooting incident in Hazelbrook Court, Rathnew this morning at approx 7.15am.
A man in his 20's suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and and was taken to hospital where his injuries are considered to be serious but not life threatening.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to come forward and contact them at Wicklow Garda station on 0404 60140.
