A man is continuing to be questioned in connection with the alleged false imprisonment of a woman.

Gardaí in Arklow responded to a public order incident in Arklow in the early hours of yesterday morning, that saw a vehicle leave the scene.

Gardaí issued an alert about a yellow van in Dublin city, over concerns for a woman in her 30s who was a passenger.

The vehicle was located in Mayo and the woman was found safe and well, while a man in his 40s was arrested.
