Arklow is included in the plan, where a planning application for a wastewater treatment plant is awaiting a decision from An Bord Pleanála.
The project is part of a €60 million investment in the Arklow Wastewater Treatment Project.
Under both European and national legislation, the provision of a wastewater treatment plant in the area is a requirement.
Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2019, subject to planning consent
