Ireland Should Revisit Phase Three Restrictions Now To Avoid The Need For Tougher Measures

Without a change to Phase 3 - we could experience a situation like in Melbourne or Aberdeen, according to a health expert.

The Australian state of Victoria is still in lockdown following a spike in coronavirus, while in Aberdeen people are being confined to within eight kilometres of their homes. 50 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by the Department of Health here yesterday.

31 are men while 19 are women. 81% are under 45 years of age. 11 of the cases are in Wexford, 10 in Kildare, 6 in Dublin, with  5 in Donegal. The remaining 18 are spread across nine other counties including Wicklow and Carlow.
