The Health Information and Quality Authority has published two inspection reports relating to a designated centre for people with disabilities in Wexford, following inspections in March and May of this year.
After repeated failure by providers Camphill Communities of Ireland to improve the safety and quality of life for residents at its Camphill Community Duffcarrig Centre, the Chief Inspector cancelled the registration of the provider on the 3rd of July last and the operation of the centre has been taken over by the HSE.
HIQA says the provider had failed to satisfactorily improve the safety and quality of services for residents in the centre, despite several warnings.
