Housing Estate In South Dublin Relying On Slurry Tankers To Remove Its Sewage

The Minister for the Environment says housing estates being built without connections to sewer networks shouldn't be happening.

Slurry tanks are being used to remove wastewater from a new development in Rathfarnham in south Dublin.

The upgraded infrastructure needed to connect the homes to the network isn't due to be completed until next year.

Green party leader Eamon Ryan says its unsatisfactory.
