Global Audience Of Six Million Watch Katie Taylor's Win Over Amanda Serrano On Netflix

Promoters boast loudly after millions watch Wicklow wonder Katie Taylor's completion of her trilogy of wins over Amanda Serrano

Netflix’s live stream of Wicklow boxer Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano’s third duel drew a strong audience according to reports.

According to figures from VideoAmp and internal Netflix data, the Friday night bout — a majority decision win for The Bray Bomber — drew a worldwide audience of six million viewers from opening to closing bell.

About 70 percent of that audience, or 4.2 million viewers, came from the United States.

The Taylor-Serrano fight was part of an all female card at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Friday.

Taylor outboxed her longtime rival reaffirming her status as one of the greatest women boxers of all time.

Most Valuable Promotions, headed by boxer and social media star Jake Paul, says the event made $2.63 million at the gate, a record for a card featuring only women fighters.

Netflix says the 4.2 million viewers makes the bout the most watched professional women’s sporting event of 2025 in the U.S.

Serrano and Taylor previously fought on Netflix in November 2024 as part of the under card for the Paul-Mike Tyson bout.

Netflix said at the time that 74 million people saw that fight, but since it was attached to the Paul-Tyson spectacle, that’s not the fairest comparison to Friday’s broadcast.

Katie was hugely proud of headlining an all female card at the prestigious venue

“And to be headlining an all-female card was an absolute privilege. These are the sort of opportunities that people didn’t even think possible a few years ago. The two fights previous ended up complete wars and I came out the ring battered and bruised, and I was thinking, why am I just standing there fighting her? I knew I was capable of moving my legs and just outboxing her. And I was just happy that I was able to execute the game plan Ross [Enamait] was telling me to do all along. I used the ring a lot better tonight. My feet were a lot better tonight. I felt it was my kind of fight, and my kind of pace as well.”

MVP said:

“Taylor vs. Serrano III wasn’t just a fight; it was the start of a movement for boxing and redefined what’s possible for women’s sports on a global stage,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian of MVP in a statement. “Nearly six million people tuned in to witness history, with 4.2 million viewers in the U.S., which was more than this year’s Stanley Cup Final, the WNBA Final and the French Open Finals for both the women and men matches.

“At MVP, we’ve made it our mission to make women’s boxing a global force, and this is proof that the demand is there for premium content and only growing. The most viewed all-women's boxing or MMA event in history. We’re proud to have built the largest platform in the world for female fighters, and we’re just getting started.”
