Gardai have upgraded their investigation into a stabbing in Newbridge, County Kildare to a murder inquiry.
It's after a man in his 30s was stabbed in the town on Wednesday.
He died of his injuries in hospital on Saturday.
Following a post mortem examination the investigation has been upgraded to murder.
Meanwhile, Gardaí are renewing their appeal for anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward.
A man in his 30s, arrested at the time of the incident, is currently before the courts charged in connection with the case.
