Despite warnings from Gardai, there was more parking chaos caused by visitors to Wicklow over the weekend.
Illuminated temporary road side warnings were in place at several scenic locations, but it didn’t stop people abandoning their vehicles illegally and causing obstruction for other motorists.
In two separate incidents, illegal parking at beaches in Wicklow led to emergency vehicles being delayed in attending callouts, where two people died after collapsing.
Speaking to East Coast FM’s Morning Show, Wicklow Superintendent Declan Mc Carthy said the attitude of people in relation to parking at the weekend was appalling.
