ESB crews are working to restore power to over 1,900 customers in the Baltinglass and Wicklow Town areas this evening.
It comes as a status yellow wind warning remains valid for the county until 9 O' Clock tonight.
It will also affect Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
Met Eireann says there will be very strong winds with the possibility of damaging gusts.
