The Environmental Protection Agency has removed seven drinking water supplies in Wicklow from their Remedial Action List.
Irish Water recently completed construction on a new, state-of-the-art water treatment plant in Vartry.
The completion of the new water treatment plant marked the culmination of a total investment of €150 million in the upgrade of the Vartry Water Supply Scheme.
The list identifies those that are at risk of failing to provide safe and clean drinking water.
Regional operations Manager John O' Donohue says this will help safeguard the future of the network in the county.
