A body has been recovered from a river in Wexford.
Emergency services were alerted to a man having entered the River Barrow in New Ross at around two o'clock this afternoon.
Gardaí arrived at the scene and New Ross River Search and Rescue began searching the river.
The Waterford airport based Irish Coastguard Air and Sea Rescue Sikorsky S-92 helicopter arrived and joined the search for the man.
It's understood his remains had drifted upstream towards the Dunbrody Famine ship.
