Wicklow County Council says an emergency road closure has been put in place at the junction of Upper and Lower Dargle Road, Bray.
A traffic management system is in place to allow traffic exit from the Lower Dargle Road at the junction, but access to the Lower Dargle Road at the junction could remain closed for up to a week while investigations and repair works are carried out.
The alternative route to Lower Dargle Road will be by the Upper Dargle Road and Sutton Road and to Bray Centre will be through the Upper Dargle Road and Castle Street.
