Swimmers are being asked to avoid going for an annual Christmas dip in popular Dublin bathing spots to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council are appealing to people not to go to the 40 foot, Sandycove and Seapoint on Christmas Day and St Stephen’s Day.
The tradition, which has seen large crowds gather in recent years, will resume next year.
